Here’s an interesting one for you. Tata Motors aging Indica-replacement is going to be positioned below the Tata Bolt at par with the Maruti Celerio and Chevrolet Beat, the Tata Tiago will be open for bookings from tomorrow at all authorized dealerships as well as online at initial amount of Rs. 10,000/-, some outlets even have a car on display now.
The Tiago is scheduled to launch on March 28, 2016 in India with two engine options – all-new 1.2-litre 3-cyl Revotron petrol having 85 PS/114 Nm and 1.05-litre 3-cyl Revotorq diesel engine churning-out 70 PS/140 Nm. Both engines are offered with 5-speed manual transmissions, while an AMT will be launched at a later stage.
Design-wise, the Tiago gets a sharp nose whereas Indica’s were known for their flat front and rear end designs. The hard lines around its side profile aren’t just aerodynamically good, but also provide a good bold view from both of its sides. And the dual-tone rear bumper comes with Black insert near to the number plate, enhancing the sporty look of the car.
Inside, elements are done-up in a beige and black color scheme. The Tiago is expected to be equipped with features such as a multi-function steering wheel, Tata ConnectNext infotainment system with 8-speakers, electrically adjustable ORVM’s and power window on all 4 sides. Its boot capacity is 242 litres.
The top-of-the-line Tiago trim will come equipped with dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and corner stability control.
