According to an SMS notification sent out by a Tata dealer Gurudev Motors to Team-BHP forum member Ahad Hamza, the Tata Nexon full EV electric car could be launched on January 28, 2020.
The Nexon electric vehicle bookings officially opened on 20 December 2019 at deposit amount of INR 21,000. Expect the price to range between INR 15-17 lakh*, which will make it the most affordable all-electric SUV in the market. It will be on-sale in 3 versions -XM, XZ+, and XZ+ LUX.
The Nexon full EV will come equipped features such as twin-pod auto headlamps with daytime LED running lights, fog lamps, 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, 7-inch head-unit touch-screen infotainment with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, rear camera, sunroof and rain sensing wipers.
The Nexon EV uses a lithium-ion 30.2 kWh battery which is powered by an electric motor with an output of 127 BHP and 245 Nm. The company claims the car will sprint 0-100 km / h in 9.9 seconds. On a single charge (MIDC cycle) the battery can provide a maximum range of over 300 km.
The Tata Nexon EV has rapid charging capability and can be recharged in 1 hour from 0-80% of its capacity using a DC quick charger. It takes 8-9 hours to recharge to 100 per cent using a typical AC charger.
