Tata Motors is currently entering Mozambique and the company has already launched the Nano in Sri Lanka. Tata Motors has completed the Golden Jubilee of Tata Motors’ international business which too began with Sri Lanka in 1961 in association with Diesel & Motor Engineering PLC (DIMO), the company’s distributor.
Sri Lanka is the first country for the Nano outside India. Tata Nano is not a cheap car in Sri Lanka and it has a starting price at LKR 9,25,000 lakhs(Approx Rs.3,78,656) for the base variant, LKR 9,99,000(Approx Rs. 4,08,948) lakhs for the Tata Nano CX and LKR 11,00,000(Approx Rs. 4,50,293) lakhs for the Tata Nano LX version. Tata Motors cannot be blamed as it is based with duty structure of the island nation.
The Tata Nano comes with a warranty of 4 years / 90,000 km, whichever is earlier and 24 hours on-road assistance service.
