The designers at Tata Motors showed-off their creativity by displaying the following vehicles at the Auto Expo this year with the newest range of special accessories and body kits. Here’s a brief:
The HEXA TUFF is a personalized SUV that enhances the appeal of the HEXA, giving it a more prominent road presence. The TUFF version of HEXA is designed for active lifestyle seekers giving them the confidence to go anywhere, creating their own roads. This bold and brawny personalized version of the HEXA comes with a muscular body kit to highlight its confident character.
The interiors are further enhanced with 3D mats which help uplift the premium feel of the car. Not only is this a head-turner but is filled up to brim with technology on the inside. Equipped with smart technology, it includes an intelligent heads up display unit with tyre pressure monitoring system and navigation system. Powered and driven by the same engine and transmissions as the HEXA, the TUFF version is also fitted with a cycle carrier with a capacity to carry up to three cycles, ensuring that the car is a perfect companion for those long, adventurous trips.
Safari Storme Tuff
With the SAFARI STORME TUFF, Tata Motors is all set to take the off-roading vehicle segment by storm. The muscular body of the car coupled with high ground clearance, help the vehicle conquer any terrain.
The car has been thoughtfully designed with rugged metal front, rear bumper, all-weather tent on the roof, a high lift jack and winch to overcome any obstacle and situations. For the convenience of the passengers, it is equipped with stylized side steps to ensure easy ingress and egress as well as crawl over rocks. Luggage bag and Jerry cans are also fitted for those trips into the wild. While the smart headup display unit with tyre pressure monitoring system and navigation ups the technology quotient, the LED bar for effective and stylish illumination and the water resistant seat covers add to the style quotient of this robust machine.
Powered by the 2.2L VARICOR 400 diesel engine, this beast delivers an optimum power of 156PS @ 4000 rpm with a maximum torque of 400 Nm @1700-2700 rpm. It continues to have Rack and Pinion steering with power assistance (Hydraulic) and a 6 speed manual transmission gear box for an unmatched driving experience. The ZICA Personalized Concept is an adventure themed version of the newly showcased ZICA, the latest, cool hatchback from Tata Motors. It is conceptualized for young active lifestyle seekers, a generation which is always on the move and likes to associate with something that represents their persona. The new ZICA Personalized Concept delivers a zippy drive experience and exudes cutting edge design, technology and driving dynamics.
The appealing exterior design of the ZICA Personalized Concept has a dynamic silhouette that emphasizes the compact look and sharp design. Additional to the features of the ZICA, the vehicle comes with LED day time running lamps with fog lamps, sporty alloy wheels for a stylish look and roof rails which accentuate its strong character. The matte finish front grille and top finisher, contrast coloured roof, ORVMs and spoiler in piano black finish further accentuates the bold looks.
The interior of the ZICA Personalized Concept is created with much precision giving it an energetic and inviting feel. The seats are covered with trendy art leather and the floors are adorned by the signature floor carpets. Along with options to customize the interiors further, it is also equipped with a stylish body kit comprising of a front and rear bumper add on and side skirts to compliment an active lifestyle. The engines, transmission and ConnectNext features are the same as ZICA hatchback.
Zest (With Accessories)
The ZEST (with accessories) displayed at the Auto Expo 2016, is an extension of the sub-four metre sedan, ZEST from Tata Motors. This personalized version is fitted with newly released accessories which further accentuate the premium image of the car. Zest, launched in 2014, was the first vehicle which embodied Tata Motors’ renewed focus on design, driving dynamics and connectivity.
On the inside, this car is like a premium sedan – Premium Java Black and Latte interiors with elegant chrome embellishments in the cockpit coupled with an exclusively designed 5” Connectnext touchscreen Infotainment System by HarmanTM makes this cockpit one-of-its-kind. While the rear powered curtains and sun shades ensure protection from the harsh sun, smart illuminated scuff plates, interior floor mats, stylish art leather seats, convenient tab holder and coat hanger make the travelers feel special.
On the exterior, the Tata signature grill with unique humanity line, stunning signature LED tail-lamps with wraparound look combined with a sporty body kit and spoiler enhance the sculpted design and give this ZEST its distinct identity.
This accessorized ZEST will continue to have the proven Revotron 1.2T petrol and Quadrajet 1.3L diesel engines, delivering 90 PS @ 5000 rpm (140 Nm @1500- 4000 rpm) and 90 PS @ 4000 rpm (200 Nm @ 1750-3000 rpm) respectively.
