BA readers know we already brought you the spyshots of Tata Grande, now the company has launched the refreshed version of the Grande. Tata has dropped the Sumo name and Mark2 badges making the name smaller and sweeter – ‘Grande’.
The ‘Sumo’ brand from Tata Motors has been in India since a very long time. The Sumo was incidentally named after Sumant Moolgaokar (late leader of the Tata Group) and has become a very household name.
Taking a look at the car from a distance new body graphics and new colours are observed. New set of chrome line board grille and side finishers with glossy grey finish, chrome inserted rub rails, new Chrome liked door handles, sporty steel wheel rims and blinkers on ORVMs are other added features on the outside of the vehicle.
Inside the Grande we notice new plush Dual Tone Barlie Beige & Ebony Black Interior Colour Scheme with Scratch resistance trims gives the Grande a roomy and upmarket feel. No mechanical changes are made under hood it’s powered by a same 2.2 DICOR engine, delivering 120 PS of power and 250Nm of Flat torque.
