Tata Motors gave a mild facelift to their successful Indigo Manza sedan. Manza Elan, as expected there is not much change in mechanicals. Tata Motors has been priced Indigo Manza Elan between Rs. 5.14-5.91 lakh (Ex-show room price, New Delhi). Company dealerships across the country have started accepting bookings for this new Manza.
Tata Motors released a press release which says “With a new look of premium dual tone interiors and an exterior make-over, the new Tata Manza delivers a driving experience, which is a class apart in the sedan market.”
The major inclusions in New Indigo Manza are an added colour choice Tyrian wine. The interiors are now available in dual tone (burgundy and beige interiors), a new range of plastics has been adopted for dashboard. Alloy wheels are now standard across the Manza range. Other than these minor changes Tata has given a chrome treatment to fog lamps, head lamps and bottom weather strip. The top end variant of Tata Indigo Manza is now labelled as Tata Manza Elan.
The power houses are same as that of current Tata Manza variants, a 1.3-litre 88.7bhp Quadrajet diesel and a 1.4-litre 88.7bhp Safire petrol motor.
We think the response which Toyota Etios witnessed in Indian market may be the reason behind this sudden makeover of Tata Indigo Manza. Anyway let us wait and see how Manza and Manza Elan will perform its role in our entry level sedan segment.
