Much-awaited Tata Motors’ premium hatchback, the all-new Tata Altroz is finally launched, from prices starting at Rs. 5.29 lakh for the petrol and Rs. 6.99 lakh for the diesel version (ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively.
Based on the ALFA platform, the Altroz measures 3,990 mm in length, 1,755 mm in width, 1,523 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,501 mm. It has a ground clearance of 165 mm and comes with a 37-litre fuel tank.
The Altroz appealing exterior design has a dynamic silhouette to emphasize the compact look and sharp design influenced by the company’s latest IMPACT 2.0 design language. With its striking design, bouquet of industry-first features and the most recent achievement of Global NCAP 5-star rating, it has set the GOLD Standard in Safety, Design, Driving Dynamics, Technology and Customer Delight.
The Altroz comes with automatic projector headlamps with daytime LED running lights, rain sensing wipers, 7-inch MID, 7-inch head-unit touchscreen infotainment with Apple CarPlay compatibility and Android Auto. Furthermore it gets automatic climate control, rear AC vents, cruise control and multi-drive modes-Eco and City.
Available in petrol and diesel variants with 2 new engine options – BS6 Revotron 1.2-litre (petrol engine) and BS6 Turbocharged Revotorq 1.5-litre (diesel engine). The 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine produces 85 BHP @ 6,000 rpm and 113 Nm @ 3,300 rpm. The 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel unit puts out 89 BHP @ 4,000 rpm and 200 Nm @ 1,250-3,000 rpm. Both engines come paired with a 5-speed manual transmission.
A total of 5 variants are on offer – XE, XM, XT, XZ and XZ (O) with 6 different factory-fitted customizable options to be chosen from 4 packs – the Rhythm, Style, Luxe and Urban. The Altroz will come in five exciting colour options – Skyline Silver, Downtown Red, Highstreet Gold, Avenue White and Midtown Grey.
