Suzuki has recently launched a special edition of the Suzuki Swift in South African markets, this special edition is called Suzuki Swift SE (Special Edition). It borrows a few design cues from the recently launched Swift Sport, it is seen with enhancements both where exterior design and interior comfort features are concerned.
On the outside, the Special Edition Suzuki Swift gets a new roof spoiler and revised tail lamps, 16″ sports wheels and silver embellishments on door handles. New fog lights are seen on the new Swift SE which is not available on a regular Suzuki Swift.
On the inside, this special edition Swift includes contoured sports seats with silver upholstery with the same theme carried on to the leather wrapped steering wheel. Further, the Swift SE gets more brownie points owing to the addition of a multimedia system with satellite navigation and USB connectivity.
Under the bonnet is a 1.4-litre K14B petrol engine which offers 94 bhp power and 130 Nm of peak torque. The manual version of the Swift SE is capable of accelerating from 0 – 100 kmph in 10.9 sec, and the auto version in 12.3 sec, with the top speeds of 170 kmph and 165 kmph respectively.
The Swift SE prices range from R169,900 (Rs. 10.42 lakh) for the manual variant while the automatic variant is prices at R184,900 (Rs. 11.34 lakh). It comes with standard three-year/100 000 km warranty, as well as a four-year/60 000 km service plan.
