There is some interesting news coming that Suzuki motorcycle India that is seriously planning to bring a couple of premium bikes here. These include the Suzuki V-Storm 250 and GSX 250R (Gixxer 250) to enthrall enthusiasts. To expand its presence here, Suzuki looks to showcase its wide range of bikes sold around the world.
The Suzuki V-storm is quite essentially an entry-level adventure tourer, which was shown in EICMA 2016 in Milan, and was recently launched in UK after its worldwide launch. Suzuki will plan to bring its iconic GSX250R faired motorcycle here to aim at the likes of KTM 390, Benelli TNT 300, Kawasaki Versus 250 and BMW G310 GS. These bikes are surely set to cause a stir in the market.
Both bikes have been well received around the world and will come here with a reputation. The V-Storm and GSX-250R also share a common engine platform, also seen on the Inazuma 250. This parallel-twin liquid cooled engine is capable of producing 24.7 bhp of power and 23.3 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed transmission.
Yeah, these bikes do come with a good track record around the world, but the Indian premium motorcycle segment is a tough nut to crack. This means Suzuki will have to be careful while pricing these model if there are any chances of succeeding here. But the wave it may receive during the upcoming Auto Expo will undoubtedly be huge.
