Suzuki Motorcycle India has confirmed the launch date of their maxi-scooter, the Burgman Street. This maxi-scooter will be officially launched on the 19th of July 2018. Recently, its new scooter was spotted in a dealership, also the dealerships across the nation have started to accept bookings for a token amount of Rs. 5,000 recently.
The Burgman Street is inspired by Suzuki’s Burgman range of maxi-scooters sold internationally. Features include an integrated LED headlamp and tail-lamp, a 12V charging socket, tubeless tyres, front disc brake and a body-mounted windscreen. Suzuki is expected to give its new scooter a Combi Braking System (CBS), seen on the Access 125.
As far as the engine is concerned, the Burgman Street will employ a 124.3cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine. This engine produces 8.7 BHP of power and 10.2 Nm of torque. It will come mated to a CVT transmission.
We can expect the Burgman Street to be priced around Rs. 75,000 (On-road) which may be at par with its rivals. The Burgman Street will lock horns with the Honda Grazia, TVS NTorq 125 and the Aprilia SR125. We can expect the Burgman Street to carry forward the craze for maxi-scooters in India.
