Suzuki unveiled its much awaited Burgman Street maxi-scooter set for launch in mid-2018. This will be Suzuki’s second 125cc offering in the scooter segment, the first being its popular access 125. Suzuki will look to cash in on the maxi scooter segment, which has a huge potential in the market.
The Burgman Street has a distinctive maxi scooter styling similar to the ones sold in Europe and South America. The most notable features of the Burgman Street are the front wind screen and split LED headlamps. Other features include a digital instrument console, telescopic front suspension, chunky handle bars and so on.
Engine-wise, the Burgman Street will employ the Tried and tested 124cc engine seen on the Access 125.The engine produces 8.7bhp of power along with 10.2Nm of torque. It comes mated to a CVT Transmission.
Details on price have not yet emerged, but expect it to come at about Rs. 60,000 onwards. The Burgman Street will rival the likes of the Honda Grazia, TCS Ntorq 125, and the soon to be launched Aprilla SR125. Looking at its first impression, it seems Suzuki has a clear winner in its hands.
