Seen here for the first time is a prototype mule of the facelifted Tata Nexon surfaced online, thanks to GaadiWaadi.com for sharing the picture. They show that the updated compact SUV might get Harrier-inspired styling.
In terms of looks, the new Tata Nexon gets more angular styling replacing the rounded design of the existing model. Redesigned slimmer front grille and twin-pod headlamps with projectors somewhat resembles the previous-gen Evoque. The new front bumper houses a trapezoidal air dam and circular fog lamps. The roof rails are also evident from the spyshot.
There’s no photos showing the interior though, but expect the cabin to be significantly overhauled, possibly featuring the new steering wheel and a bigger touch-screen infotainment system. Rain-sensing wipers and a factory-fitted sunroof could also make its way here on the 2020 Tata Nexon.
For powertrain, not much is known, but it’s likely that the existing range of engines will be upgraded to conform to the stricter, BS-VI emission norms on the new 2020 Nexon. The updated model will also be on-sale in the Nexon EV as Tata Motors plans to launch four electrified vehicles within the next 18 months.
