These are the most revealing photos of the 2014 Tata Vista (codenamed Falcon 4 Project) yet, and the interesting sets of spy photos you’ll need to look at before the car is unveiled at the 2014 Auto Expo in Noida coming February. Undoubtedly, it differs from the current Vista in the usual ways, with addition of projector headlamps, redesigned front grille and the biggest change is that the X’mas tree like tail lights have been replaced by the regular ones. We also think we see what we think are angel eyes peeking through the projector rings.

From the spy pics, it is evident that the Vista facelift features completely redesigned exterior with new front and rear bumpers. It gets a very smart front-end featuring projector headlamps as stock fitment, which is a segment first. And features an all-new honeycomb grille like seen in the Vista S2 Concept, and turn-indicators will be mounted on front wheel arches. The design of the rear is revamped with new tail lamps replacing the X’mas tree units, also note the re-positioned rear number plate from the rear bumper to a newly built boot lid.

The interior of the revamped Vista is expected to be borrowed from the Vista D90 including  a dashboard with fit and finish improvements, and obviously will get with more features compared to the current Vista. As the upcoming Vista will be positioned above the current Vista in terms of pricing, we expect it to get features like rear vents, 2-din music system with touch screen and rear parking sensors as a standard fitment on the top-spec variant. Vista facelift besides getting a host of updates, might also get a new name, which is yet to be revealed.

Mechanically, the Vista facelift will get the 1.3-litre Fiat sourced Multijet Diesel for the oil burner, and will get a new 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine, derived from the 1.2-litre XETA motor. Furthermore, there are rumors on web that the 1.3-litre Fiat sourced Multijet turbo diesel engine will be available in two states of tune for the upcoming Vista. The Vista facelift is based on the same X1 platform that underpins the current Vista and Manza. Tata is also preparing a sub-4-metre sedan and compact SUV on the same platform. The compact sedan too will be showcased alongside the hatch, at 2014 Auto Expo.
