In Thailand, a test mule of the 2021 Toyota Fortuner facelift was spotted alongside the Hilux pickup prototype.
From the spy photos, it is evident that not much has changed the overall shape of the SUV. The upcoming new Toyota Fortuner will probably feature exterior restyled bumpers, new radiator grille and new alloy wheels. The test car is also seen fitted with roof rails, side steps, and has built-in indicator ORVMs.
On the inside, the facelifted Toyota Fortuner will not be much different from the current one, but expect it to get a new infotainment system that offers support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration.
In India, a 2.8-liter diesel engine generating 175 BHP and 420/450 Nm is offered to the Fortuner. It comes with either a 6-speed manual or an automatic 6-speed manual. The version of the petrol comes with a 2.7-liter engine producing 164 BHP and 245 Nm. A 4WD system option is available in the diesel engine variant. What will be new in this aspect on the facelifted model is yet to be known!
The 2021 Toyota Fortuner facelift is likely to be introduced in India later this-year or early next-year.
