Recently, the new Mercedes Benz ML-Class Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) was unveiled at 2012 Delhi Expo and as per the recent reports, it will hit its designated showrooms in India by April this year. Now OnCars.in has managed to click a spy snap of the new M-Class which was on a trail-run near Pune, in Maharashtra.
The new ML-Class will be packed with a big 3.0L V6 diesel engine that will coupled with a 7-speed automatic gearbox along with the 4-matic four wheel drive mechanism under the bonnet. The improved 2012 Mercedes Benz ML350CDI is projected to be priced around INR 45-50 Lakh in order to make way difficult for Audi Q5 and BMW X5 in India.
The new model carries an aggressive new frontage that has a large grille with a bigger Merc badge placed at amid along with broader and curvy swept-back head lamps that have integration of daytime running LEDs. The rear of New ML-Class has been bestowed with signature Mercedes Benz look together with a touch of sportiness.
Leaving the premium leatherette interiors the other class leading features will comprise of Attention assist, Rear-view camera, Active Park Assist (APA) with integrated Park-tronic technology. Furthermore, the 9-SRS air-bags, ESP, ABS with EBD and Electronic Traction System (ETS) will take care of the safety and security of the occupants.
The premium SUV that is expected to be initially available with a single fuel choice of diesel will extract a sheer power of around 258 bhp, while the torque meter is sure to read nearly 620 Nm. The estimated top speed of this engine is around 224 kmph, whilst it is capable to touch the 0-100 kmph mark in mere 7.4 seconds.
The company will start assembling the ML-Class by Diwali but until then, the vehicles reaching customers are imported from Germany.
