BMW India must be pretty excited at the moment gearing up to bring its Iconic brand Mini to India. BMW Mini is most likely to steal the show this time with the Mini hatchback, Mini convertible and a Mini Cooper Countryman crossover SUV expected to showcase at the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo.
Now BMW Mini Countryman has been spotted at a local BMW dealership in New Delhi, much before that the car has been launched in Indian market and shown to the common masses in India. The car is slates for a launch in New Delhi at an upcoming event.
Mini Countryman is different from regular Mini as this is a crossover SUV car, and is the first such car to be launched under the Mini by its parent company BMW. The car was announced in January 2010, and formally launched at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show as the first Mini crossover SUV, and the first 5-door model. It is offered with a choice of two- or four-wheel drive (known as ALL4), and with 1.6 L petrol or diesel and 2.0 L diesel four-cylinder engines in various states of tune. Sales started in September 2010 as a 2011 model-year vehicle.
