Early last-month, Maruti Suzuki India launched the eagerly-awaited Ciaz sedan in Indian auto market, as a replacement for the not-so-successful SX4. Last month, the Ciaz has already recorded over 8,000 units of sales across India. Now, a new colour option has been spotted, alongside the sportier version of the same which are believed to be launched very soon.
From the above spy picture, you can see the new blue on Ciaz does look attractive. But the question arises why didn’t Maruti launch this colour in the first place? Although we are not sure, we believe this is an exclusive colour for the upcoming Ciaz Z+ variant, which is scheduled to be launched early next-year.
The Ciaz Z+ variant will have all the features of Z(O)-optional variant, and in addition will have the new touchscreen SmartPlay system for multimedia and navigation needs. Apart from this, SmartPlay also allows you to connect your mobile phone and offers voice recognition as well.
Talking about the sportier version, Maruti is working on Ciaz RS (name is not confirmed yet) just like the Swift RS which was very successful as people like adding extra kits and colors to the model as it will make the car look more sporty. The extra kits include a chin spoiler, side skirts and a diffuser-like element for the rear.
Furthermore, the car’s alloy wheels will get a matt look as opposed to the multi-spoke 16” inch alloy wheels that are present on the current model. Other interior changes would be illuminated door sills, premium seat covers and pillows. The Ciaz RS will be based on the top-end Z+ trim which is going to be launched early next-year.
The changes will be limited to cosmetics only as the engine line-up will be retained from the current Ciaz.
