As we already reported many times that Mahindra is testing the Xylo mini/compact and the vehicle has been spotted many times. This time we show with sticker skin and the company is planning to launch the Mini Xylo by June 2011.
The upcoming Mahindra Xylo Mini was snapped while being transported atop a trailer. The company chose to courier the 2011 Mahindra Xylo Mini rather than driving it to the destination, which is a bit confusing. Confusing because most carmakers like to hide what they are testing and putting the Xylo Mini right on the top of a trailer with camouflage is bound to attract attention. The 2011 Mahindra Xylo Mini will be the first 5-seater MPV in the country and will feature a new 1.5 liter CRDe diesel motor exclusively made to ensure this new offering attracts the small car excise duty. Xylo Mini will be priced around Rs. 5.5 lakhs and will open up a new segment in the Indian car market.
As you clearly see in these pictures that it looks like Premier Rio but the Mahindra front carries more promising. Also, the wheels look a tad smaller in the hideously huge rear wheel wells hinting at a shorter stance for the Mini Xylo MPV. We’re anticipating more information about the Mini Xylo MPV and we’ll be publishing another big story soon.
