According to sources, Hyundai India has plans of introducing 10 new cars in India over the next 5 years and by the looks of things, the next offering from Hyundai for India might be the new 2012 Hyundai Elantra. Now again the 2012 Hyundai Elantra/Avante was spotted with heavy camouflage at Taj Mahal in Delhi by Team-BHP forum member.
Hyundai Avante made its International debut in last year via Busan International Motor Show and currently available in markets like Korea, Middle East and various European market. The Elantra was launched in India a few years back and did not do well. However the next generation Elantra looks very promising with the Fluidic styling and loads of features.
It will be Hyundai’s answer to the likes of Chevrolet Cruze, Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla and Skoda Laura. Avante could be the most attractive product in exterior department currently available in Hyundai’s portfolio. Hyundai’s “fluidic sculpture” styling theme makes it a true head turner in its segment. Avante comes with stylish interiors to differentiate itself from its competition.
Hyundai Motor India has been in India for more than a decade now and company has successfully launched many products. Hyundai products are always had a sensible pricing strategy. Hyundai would position the Elantra/Avante right between the Verna and upcoming Sonata (i45), pricing the car around Rs. 12-14 lakhs.
The Korean automaker might preview the Elantra/Avante along with the Sonata (i45) at the upcoming Auto Expo to gauge customer response and the launch may happen before March 2012.
