Friends I’m tired of posting an article on the upcoming Ford EcoSport, because the EcoSport is spied so many times now, that the whole topic is bordering onto boring. EcoSport sightings have become very common nowadays with multiple vehicles being spotted in different cities. Now the folks at Anything-On-Wheels have posted the latest and the clearest photos of the upcoming Ford EcoSport on road tests spotted in outskirts of Chennai.
The Ecosport is expected to have 3 engine options mated to 5-speed manual gearbox – a 1.5-litre TiVCT petrol engine, the award-winning 1.0-litre ‘EcoBoost’ petrol engine that was recently crowned ‘International Engine of the Year’ and the ‘most-crucial-for-India’ 1.5-liter TDCi diesel engine. And the top-end variant of the 1.0-litre EcoBoost is mated to a 6-speed, dual-clutch, ‘PowerShift’ gearbox. But most sales are expected to come from the diesel model.
So far, the EcoSport in bright yellow color is spotted with a body-colored wing mirrors, thus, it is evident that bright yellow color will be available only on the top-end Titanium variant. The bright yellow colored SUV is not very common anywhere across the globe, not even in the colorful country of India. But Ford wants to try something different, which is so far not available in the market! And almost all the details about the EcoSport are out, except the launch date and pricing.
Is the Ford EcoSport challenging the Mahindra Quanto, to become the most spied car in the country? Do leave the comment below.
