Ford India launched Figo hatch in March 2010 and now after completing almost three years, the company is ready to introduce the facelift version of the Figo. Just yesterday we brought you the spy pictures of the Figo Facelift spotted in Chennai with minimum camouflage. Now for the first time, the dropped camouflage images of the new Figo are out in the open and thanks to Team-Bhp member ‘Mohandasnikhil’, for the snap.
As we said yesterday, the updated Figo will get a minor facelift with refreshed headlamps and tail lamps design and some minor tweaks on the exteriors. The body panels continue to remain the same, much like we have seen in the facelift of the Hyundai i20. However, it features the new 8-spoke alloy wheel inspired from the new Fiesta and gets 2 new color option including Yellow and Blue.
At the moment, the changes to the interiors and the engines are unknown. But the engines are going to be the same 1.2-litre petrol and 1.4-litre diesel tuned to make it more efficient. The Figo is the Ford’s bread and butter model in India, it acquires around 75% of Ford India sales been sold at around 4800 units every month. Besides these, it is also exported from India to many countries and is running successfully across multiple automobile markets.
