SPIED: 2020 Mahindra XUV500 reveals flush-fitting door handles

Home-grown car maker, Mahindra has reworked everything from ground-up to leave no stone unturned on its upcoming second-gen Mahindra XUV500 which is scheduled to launch sometime next-year.

But the recent spy video has surprised us revealing a flush-fitting door handles on an XUV500 test mule. This retractable door handles can be usually seen more premium cars like Teslas, Jaguars, Aston Martins and Range Rovers. These cars have door handles that pop-out when the vehicle is unlocked. It remains to be seen whether the XUV500 can provide power-operated door handles or lever-type arrangement.

The 2020 XUV500 also gets a revised front grill with a more upright front fascia in addition to the new door handles. BS-VI compliant 2.2-liter diesel engine generating 177 BHP is expected to be plonked on the upcoming XUV500. It could be mated either to a 6-speed manual or an automatic 6-speed gearbox.
