As BA readers are aware, that 2012 City is in the Honda’s bag, now the test mule has been spotted by AutoCar India reader Anugrah Kanodia in unknown location. The updated City will hit Indian roads sometime in next year.
The all-new Honda City draws a lot of inspiration from other Honda vehicles like a slightly restyled grille with chrome leading edges as on the Accord, revised front and rear bumpers, re-designed tail-lamps, a new alloy wheel design as well as re-styled side-view mirrors.
Inside the cabin, the car will get a new instrument panel, new interior trim, and hopefully a CD player. Engine and transmission will remain unaltered with the existing 1.5-liter petrol mill that drums up 118PS will the same under the City’ hood, Until the 1.5-litre diesel engine that will be launched in the year 2013.
Honda has recently slashed prices of the City which has helped sales jump quite a bit and now this car could do well in the India against the Hyundai Verna and the Volkswagen Vento sedan. What do you think?
