Thanks to Team-BHP member with the nickname Mr. Beat for the first spy photos of 2011 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport which is heavily camouflaged, the test mule was spotted in FC road, Pune. Mitsubishi has already announced its intensions of launching a seven-seater variant of the Outlander and a sub-Rs 30 lakh SUV. This SUV could indeed be the Pajero Sport which is spotted above.
The Pajero Sport is powered with 2477cc, 16-valve inline-4 petrol engine capable of generating a maximum power of 135 Bhp @ 3500 rpm and a peak torque of 314 Nm @ 200 rpm .The engine is mated to 4 gear Automatic transmission. It also comes with Mitsubishi’s rally-proven shift-on-the-fly Super Select 4WD and a high 215mm ground clearance which should give it terrific off-road capability.
The interior features of Mitsubishi Pajero Sport includes leather seats, rear armrest with cup holder, electrically adjustable driver seats, AC with Climate Control system, CD MP3 Player music system, rear ac vent, and well placed button controls on steering wheels.
Mitsubishi Pajero is a very safe car, and Mitsubishi has taken all the measures to make the car safer and easy to handle. Now days, safety concerns are of prime issue due to increasing number of vehicles on the road. Mitsubishi Pajero is equipped with advanced safety features like front dual air bags, Five Rear Seat Belts, Parking Sensors, Extra strong body construction, Fog Lamp, Anti trapping power windows, Traction Control, EBD, ABS, ESP etc.
The Pajero Sport is already sold in Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia. The Pajero Sport has been launched in Bangladesh last week (August 9, 2011) with local production commencing in Chittagong. With the Pajero Sport being produced next door in Bangladesh, there is a chance that the vehicle could be imported from Bangladesh to India, to reduce the import costs. The Pajero Sport is expected to hit Indian shores by Auto Expo in January 2012.
