Japanese auto giant Toyota is doing decent number with the Etios and Etios Liva, when the interest and fuel rates were hiked. Toyota is working aggressively to roll out the diesel variants of the Etios twins. Rumours suggest that Toyota Etios diesel and Toyota Etios Liva diesel will be launched on September 9.
The sedan and the hatchback models of the Toyota Etios brand are likely to house the same 1.4 liter 75 bhp, fixed turbo geometry engine and a promising fuel economy of 21 kmpl is expected from both. Etios twins are likely to come with a 5 speed manual transmission gearbox. With the Swift diesel commanding four months of waiting and Honda unable to offer diesel vehicles, Toyota has timed this one perfectly.
