At 2014 Delhi Auto Expo, Skoda India showcased the facelift version of Skoda Yeti, showing off its new front and rear. Although it was earlier reported to be launched in the second quarter of 2014, now according to trusted sources the launch is scheduled for the festive season between the mid of September and October.
Skoda Yeti facelift – FrontView
The Yeti facelift gets re-worked tail and revised nose. It features the bi-xenon headlamps with LED daytime running lights embedded in them and tail lamps will also have LEDs. The car gets a wider grille. The bumper and the bonnet have also been refurbished. The car also gets new alloys wheels and will be available in new paint schemes.
Inside the cabin the facelift Yeti receives new steering wheel, new dashboard trim as well as new fabric seat trims and patterns. Apart from this the interiors of facelift Yeti being sold in international market also embellishes automatic parallel parking system and rear view camera. It would be interesting to see, if Indian version gets the same!
Skoda Yeti facelift – RearView
Other new equipments will include a keyless entry, electrically adjustable driver seat, cruise control, go system and tyre pressure monitoring system. It is nice of Skoda to let other features remain in Yeti as its original build and fit was appreciated, and so was driving comfort, road clearance and overall cabin aura.
The Skoda Yeti Facelift will be available get the same 2.0-litre diesel engine as seen in existing Skoda Yeti, and will come in two different power output schemes. The base 4×2 front-wheel-drive version of Yeti will sport 110 PS mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox, while the top-end 4×4 variant will come with 140 PS mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.
