If you remember, earlier this year we showed you footage of Volkswagen Vento caught fire on the streets of Pune, claiming its owner Mr. Kailash Gupta’s life of car burn injuries. Recently Skoda Rapid, this is the second car based on the same platform going up in flames. While Volkswagen claimed to have been investigating that unfortunate incident, a report is yet to be published, highlighting the real cause of the fire.
The Czech based car maker has been popular in India but in a shocking incident at New Delhi, where a Skoda Rapid sedan has apparently caught fire due to what a leading newspaper report claims to be an electrical short circuit. Mr.Nitin Mehrotra, the owner of the car had bought it only in February. He reported that he had parked the car and gone to see a doctor. When he came back, he found the car on fire.
