Sarath Kumar, the teen from India the first Indian to race in a MotoGP, will be part of the Italian Championship next year. Sarath who will complete his 20th year this month is all set to be the first Indian to enter the MotoGP World Championships and took part in WTR – Ten10 races at Portuguese GP in 1255 cc category.
Though he finished 24th in the race was taken on by Mahindra Racing and will represent Indian team at the Italian Championships. He will have Italian Riccardo Moretti as his partner. Kumar is confident of his success and is sure that he will be taking part in more such events in the future.
While he is putting in all possible efforts to excel in the Italian Championships, it will also give him a chance to improve his performance by the time the next MotoGP comes around in 2013. It is thanks to the efforts put in by Kumar’s mother that this young lad is able to realize his dreams and it his dream to “to become the first Indian MotoGP champion” and “to ride at an Indian GP someday.”
