Renault Duster adds touch-screen infotainment system

Renault Duster, the best-selling car in French car maker Renault’s line-up in India gets a small upgrade in less than year of its launch in India. The upgrade includes an optional touch screen infotainment system that also comes with satellite navigation in the Duster SUV called the Media-Nav system, available as an option on the RxL 85 or top-end RxZ 110 version, at a premium of Rs 30,000.

The new Media Nav features include 18 cms of touch-screen display, Radio, Music system, telephonic system with Bluetooth connectivity with mobile phones, GPS Satellite navigation, and other multimedia connection. It also gets a built-in USB and Aux-input support for music and external audio devices like smartphone, iPhone or iPod etc…

Media Nav can be operated via both the touch-screen and steering column-mounted controls. This system shows details in 2D, 3D as well as bird’s-eye view format. Touch-screen infotainment system is becoming a trend in the Indian car market with cars like the Fiat Linea, Fiat Grande Punto, the Tata Manza and the Tata Indica Vista jumping to the touch screen brigade.

Speaking about the addition of this new media navigation touchscreen system, Sumit Sawhney, Executive Director, Marketing & Sales, Renault India Pvt. Ltd, said –
