Yes, yes we know that everyday new details of Renault Duster emerge in the automotive world. But since long-time we haven’t published any article regarding the India-bound Duster, finally after making the study about the same we have published an article. Renault India first unveiled their compact sports utility vehicle ‘Duster’ at the Auto Expo 2012 in New Delhi.
Now the company has officially revealed that a launch its new Duster SUV in India on July 4th next-month. Meanwhile, the SUV has already bagged bookings to the tune of 1000 units as soon as Renault dealers started taking bookings this week. This fourth car by Renault India, Duster SUV is believed to do wonder to the brand and it has started showing up its popularity even before the launch.

The Renault Duster SUV price which is expected to land around Rs 7 lakh to Rs 8 lakh for the entry level petrol and diesel variants respectively while the top variant Renault Duster RxZ price will be around Rs 11 lakh. Currently, it is the best looking and most feature rich compact sports utility vehicle in its class.
The Duster will be available in six variants with both petrol and diesel engine options. The SUV will be powered by a 1.6-litre petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine which has two states of tune viz., an entry-level 84bhp version and a top-end 108.5bhp version. Duster in both its versions (petrol and diesel) will support 4×2 architecture initially; the 4×4 variant is however expected to be launched later.
Renault Duster has already started affecting the sales of Mahindra Scorpio, Tata Safari and the Mahindra XUV 500 in the top category as well as will cover the entry level SUV as well as high end SUV class as well. Besides, Ford India and Maruti should be hurrying up things to launch Ford EcoSport and Maruti XA Alpha respectively. It is also expected that Duster car will have the advantage of arriving first and it will also have ample time before any of its rivals arrive and dampen its prospects.
