French car manufacturer, Renault India is celebrating the second anniversary of the Duster with the ’2nd Anniversary Edition’ of the compact crossover. The car is based on the entry level RxE Adventure variant and is available only with the 83.3 bhp (85 PS) diesel engine. It is priced at Rs. 8.88 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and is available only till July 20, 2014.
Renault Duster 2nd Anniversary Edition
The Renault Duster 2nd Anniversary Edition comes with an Amazon green paint job, smoked headlights, front armour with auxiliary lamps and body cladding. The car rides on 215/65 R16 tyres and has a ground clearance of 205 mm. On the inside, the vehicle gets sporty neon interiors. Other benefits of the 2nd Anniversary Edition are additional two-year warranty (2+2 year warranty / 80,000 km), free ‘Gang of Dusters’ membership and free 4 year roadside assistance.
Coming to the technical specifications, the 2nd Anniversary Edition is identical to standard Duster 85 PS. It comes with the same 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, diesel engine that develops 85 PS @ 3750 rpm and 200 Nm of torque @ 1900 rpm, and is paired to a 5-speed manual transmission with fuel efficiency pegged at 20.45 Kmpl. Ground clearance stands at 205mm and wider 215/65 R16 tyres are in use.
Renault India has sold more than 1 lakh units of the Duster in less than 2 years of launch, since July-2012. A winner right from the time of launch, Duster Compact SUV is the quickest in its segment to achieve sales of over 100,000 units in this time frame.
