The TVS NTorq SXR 160 was unveiled a couple of days ago. This scooter is specifically made for the INRC rally events taking place throughout the year and will be in an automatic guise. What’s astonishing is that, according to details, the NTorq SXR 160 is India’s most powerful scooter.
This scooter employs a 160cc, four-cylinder engine producing about 20 bhp of power. The engine comes rally-tuned to give the power output and eclipses the Aprilia RS150 (11.4 bhp) on power to become the most powerful scooter of the lot. It uses a loud exhaust which is used to boost both low-end and mid-range torque.
Modified with knobby tires and race-tuned suspension, the NTorq SXR gets a major bump in power (20+PS) and top speed.
The NTorq SXR 160 has a top speed of about 120 km phase. This is faster than most of the 150cc motorcycles available in the market. It has some specific features such as a race-tuned suspension and knobby tyres.
On design, it is the same as the NTorq 125 sold here. The NTorq 125 comes with a 125cc, air-cooled, four-stroke engine producing 9.1 bhp of power and 10.5 Nm of torque. TVS has loaded the scooter with many features such as front disc brakes, LED tail lights, digital speedometer, Bluetooth connectivity and so on.
The icing on the cake will be the scooter being able to do 0-60 kmph in 9 seconds. It has a top speed of 95 kmph and is currently one of the fastest scooters available in India. The NTorq 125 comes at a price of Rs.58,750(ex-showroom, Delhi) and rivals the likes of the Suzuki Access and the Honda Activa 125.
