Yamaha being one of the leading super bikes in the world is set to debut a 250 cc bike likely to be named ‘YZF-R250’ into the world market which would inherit YZF-R6 visually. It is expected to be a success in India and Indonesia where small displacement motorcycles are in great demand by customers. This launch would be the response to the recently launched bikes from Kawasaki and Honda.

As reported by Deputy Managing Director of Yamaha India, Mr. Masaki Asano to the IndianMotosBlog it is clear that this new 250 cc bike would not be coming to India this year. Much more details of this bike has not yet been revealed but this new 250 cc bike from Yamaha would be expected to be equipped with latest features and excellent handling as the YZF-R15. It is a quarter liter 4=stroke machine and is expected to be priced around 5000 $ (around 2.5 lakhs INR). It is also expected to have sharp headlights, aerodynamically shaped front apron and fully-faired engine compartment.
