You read it first on BharathAutos. Bajaj Auto is all set to launch its flagship models the 400cc Pulsar’s in two avatars – the RS400 and the CS400.
The launch of the bigger Pulsar’s has already been delayed, and now the company is not wasting anytime introducing the bike any further. Like the current Pulsar range, the 400cc Pulsar’s will be step ahead of its near rivals with a blend of power and eye-catching looks that too at affordable prices.
Although the Pulsar RS400 will look exactly like the RS200, the CS400 will be the talk of the town with really aggressive styling featuring bikini-fairing and bearing a power cruiser stance. Other highlights of the CS400 include upside-down forks at front, fully-digital instrument console (first in Pulsar range), multi-piece LED Headlamp, funky tailpiece, longer rear swing-arm and a stylish exhaust canister.
Power-train wise, the 400cc Pulsar is likely to inherit its engine from its Austrian sibling, the KTM RC390. This liquid-cooled, single-cylinder 373.2 cc engine spits-out 43bhp at 9,000rpm and maximum torque of 35Nm at 7,000rpm, paired to a 6-speed gearbox. Just like the KTM 390s, we expect the RS400 to come with a slipper clutch system as a USP.
