About the new Bajaj Pulsars the rumours have spread far across in the internet, either some say it’s a naked version or some full fairing version. Finally after long-rumors an official word out, Bajaj Auto has announced they will unveil the latest Pulsar model in early December 2011. This will, however, not be an official launch, and just an introduction to the bike. The new Pulsar will hit the showrooms only by January 2012.
The new crop of Pulsars was expected to be unveiled this month, but Bajaj seems to be taking its own sweet time in launching the bikes. The next generation Pulsars will be completely new from ground up and will feature new engine technology along with an all new design and features. The Pulsar celebrates its 10th anniversary this November and Bajaj is keen on ensuring India’s best sports bike retains its number 1 position for the next decade as well.
“The new Pulsar will be 100 percent brand new and will come with technology better than the current DTS-i. The new technology is the next level for motorcycles, not just the next level for Bajaj,” Rajiv Bajaj, MD, Bajaj Auto said. He also added, the new technology used by the new Pulsars, will first debut on all the new Pulsars, after which the Discover products could benefit the same.
While we don’t have any details on the technology Mr. Bajaj is talking about, we are quite comfortable in assuming that the next-gen Pulsar under rising competition from technologically advanced bikes such as the CBR250R would feature 4 valves per cylinder and liquid cooling with more features and better performance. The arrival of mono-shock and KTM parts on the new Pulsars are expected as the company looks at taking the next generation bikes to an entirely new level.
The company believes that exports will witness a sharp rise in the coming years. Supply to African and ASEAN markets would mean that the exports may eventually exceed domestic sales.
