Nissan Micra NISMO – FrontView
Recently less than a month ago, the Japanese car maker Nissan revealed NISMO evolved Sunny at the 2013 Super GT International Series, Malaysia. After this recent showcasing, Nissan has yet again announced a NISMO version of the small car Nissan Micra (sold as Nissan March in Thailand and Japan). Now the folks at AutoCarIndia report that, Nissan India is considering to introduce a sporty NISMO variant of the Micra India, whereas bookings for the Nissan Micra (March) has already begun abroad and in Japan, the deliveries are expected to begin from December-2013.
The NISMO Micra would be available in two versions i,e NISMO and NISMO S. The NISMO is powered with a 1.2–litre petrol engine mated to the Xtronic CVT gearbox which produces a power of 80 PS at a maximum torque of 106 Nm. Whereas the NISMO S will be powered with a specially tuned 1.5-litre mill mated to a quick shift five-speed manual powertrain which produces a power of 115.6 PS at a maximum torque of 156 Nm, India launch possible. The NISMO S is also featured with bespoke exhaust system, more precise brake system, customized suspension arrangement, Bridgestone Potenza tyres and a 16 inch alloy wheels.
Coming to the exteriors, NISMO Micra will be featured with new front and rear bumpers, LED daytime running lights, red exterior mirrors, front grill, side sill protectors and will also be available in Pure Black, Brilliant Silver and Brilliant White Pearl colors to choose from. Apart from this, the interiors will be featured with bucket seats, a short throw gear-shift lever, piano black trim, special brushed aluminium racing pedals, Alcantara wrapped steering wheels and a 220 kmph speedometer.
Nissan Micra NISMO – RearView
In Japan, the NISMO CVT and the NISMO manual transmission would be priced at around 9.44 lakh INR and 10.85 lakh INR (ex-showroom price). The NISMO S would be costly ranging around 14 lakh INR (ex-showroom price). In India, the Nissan Micra NISMO will directly rival the likes of the Toyota Etios 1.5 TRD and Volkswagen Polo GT TSI 1.2. The Micra NISMO has not been green-lighted for India by Nissan’s global HQ, but Nissan India is working hard to make it happen and if everything well, expect the car to price in the range of Rs. 8-9 lakh.
