The Japanese car maker Nissan has revealed NISMO evolved Sunny at the 2013 Super GT International Series, Malaysia. Currently Nissan Sunny is sold as Nissan Almera in Malaysia and Nissan Versa in USA. It is called as a concept car because the sales of this car have not yet started. The NISMO evolved Sunny would be initially available in Malaysia probably in the last quarter of 2013 as per the information obtained by our friends at IndianAutosBlog.
Nissan says that NISMO evolved Sunny was enhanced by the Nissan’s performance division in order to provide stylish aerodynamic design and also improve the handling characteristics which the current Nissan Sunny is lagging. Apart from the enhancement in the engine performance, Nissan’s NISMO would also feature front and rear bumper spoilers with side skirts, rear boot mounted spoiler, 17″ inch alloy wheel, sports suspension, sporty sound created by NISMO exhaust muffler.
Coming to the technical specifications, NISMO Sunny would be equipped with the same 1.5-liter four-cylinder HR15 engine which produces a maximum power of 99PS at a maximum torque of 134 Nm. Whereas in Malaysia, Nissan Almera would be equipped with the same 1.5-liter engine which would produce a maximum power of 102PS at a maximum torque of 139 Nm due to Nissan CVTC (Continuously Variable-valve Timing Control). Nissan has not yet revealed the price of the Nissan Sunny NISMO Performance Package Concept till date.
