Oakley Design is one automotive aftermarket tuning firm that often gets things very right. Rather than turning to outrageous, over-the-top styling touches, Oakley Design realizes it’s working with something that’s already special and simply turns the knob from 10 to 11. Now someone with a lot of money in Qatar was bored with the idea of a standard Aventador LP700-4 and this individual called up Oakley to do some modifications.
If you read the title carefully, you may have thought we incorrectly called the car an Aventador LP760-2. Normally, you’d expect to see that written LP700-4, which means the car is a (nearly) 700-horsepower, all-wheel-drive monster. Not this one. The mad-minds at Oakley Design switches the setup to send an upgraded 760-hp to the rear-wheels – hence the name LP760-2.
Besides the power upgrades, Oakley decided to knock some weight off the model with the help of Intrax. The suspension upgrades, the removal of the drive shafts and front differential reduce the weight of the supercar by 85 kgs. The pink Oakley Lamborghini Aventador LP760-2 seen here is one of five that exist.
Refresher – We don’t have any performance figures of this Oakley Lamborghini Aventadord LP760-2 finished in Matte Pink but as a quick reminder, the standard Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 will be powered by a 6.5L V12 engine making 690-hp and 509 lb-ft of torque. Mated to the company’s new ISR (Independent Shifting Rod) 7-speed transmission, 0 to 100 kph will come in 2.9 seconds with a top speed of 350 kph. The Aventador is an all-wheel-drive supercar courtesy of Lamborghini’s Haldex 4-wheel drive system. Prices for the Lamborghini Aventador start at a price tag of Rs 3.69 crore (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
