Japanese car-maker, Honda has started working on all-new Honda Brio and Amaze models. According to AutoCar Professional, Yoichiro Ueno, President and CEO of Honda Cars India, has said that the next-generation Brio will be a global model, and not exclusive to the Indian market.
The company is developing an all-new platform for the Honda Brio that will also underpin the next generation Honda Amaze. The platform is developed mainly in Thailand but in collaboration with Japan and India. Codenamed as 2UA (Brio) and 2UB (Amaze) are scheduled to launch by February-2018 and June-2018 respectively.
At the moment there isn’t much information on the next-generation Honda Brio and Amaze. But there reports that vehicle safety is a top priority in their development in order to meet mandatory safety norms that will come into effect by 2019-2020.
