Not the biggest surprise, as we’ve already seen the refreshed face on the Honda Amaze earlier last-month, it’s grafted the same design inside-out on the Brio hatchback.
Revealed at the 2016 Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS), the Brio’s new face is less cutesy than before with a new front bumper and grille treatment. The rear of the car is still the same except for the new chrome garnish. Differences on the side are very subtle, the only change is new set of alloys.
Inside, it’s all-new. The Brio gets a fresh dashboard in the style of the 2016 Amaze, which is simple and sleek while the HVAC controls with digital display look awesome and much better than the outdated knobs. Center console is finished in piano-black and houses a JVC 2-DIN music system.
The entry-level Honda’s engine has been revised. The 1.2-litre 4 cyl motor remains, but it gets a slight power bump – from 88 PS and 109 Nm to 90 PS and 110 Nm. The unit is paired to a new Earth Dreams Technology CVT automatic or a 5-speed manual gearbox. In India expect the facelifted Brio to be priced slightly higher than the on-going model.
