Maruti Suzuki recently unveiled the next-generation of its popular hatchback, the Swift. The company has also commenced bookings for the car, now is in big-demand. That too when the company has not yet launched the car shows the popularity of the Swift in India.
Maruti Suzuki has confirmed that it will showcase the next-gen Swift at the 2018 Auto Expo In February. The Swift has been getting good reviews from experts, and the car seems to have a clear winner in its hands. Waiting period for the car has been stretched from 6-8 weeks for both the petrol and diesel variants.
The Swift will be available in as much as 12 variants. This will include 4 variants of Auto GearShift. Engines include a 1.2-litre petrol engine giving 82 BHP of power and 113 Nm of torque and a diesel engine giving 74 BHP of power and 190 Nm of torque.
Both engines will come mated to a 5 speed manual transmission with automatic being an option. Features include Smart play Touch screen Infotainment system, Engine start/stop button, ABS, EBD and much more. Top trims, being ZXI+ZDI+get projector head lamps with LED DRL’s as standard.
Maruti Suzuki will bring the Swift to India in Mid-2018.The Swift will rival the Hyundai Grand i10, Ford Figo and Mahindra KUV100. It is expected to be priced aggressively, given Maruti Suzuki ‘s track record of affordable pricing coming to the fore.
