It’s no secret that Hyundai are developing a car which will replace the i10 from its India line-up. The car will be named the Santro which has built a good reputation over the years in india. Now, as per reports, Hyundai will bring the Santro to India by August this-year.
Currently called the “Family Design concept”, this car will feature a tall-boy design, typical of the Santro which was sold here. This will ensure easy ingress and egress, and may also result in more space. It is expected to come with a lot of features as well.
Some features include Alloy wheels, LED tail-lamps, touchscreen infotainment system and reverse camera. There is speculation regarding the engine, which may be a 1.2-litre petrol one, developing 85 BHP of power. This will come complying with the BS-VI norms, which kick-off on April 2020.
Hyundai will slot the Santro in between the Eon and Grand i10 in its line-up. Prices are expected to start from Rs. 3 lakhs and go all the way to Rs. 6 lakhs. It will rival the likes of the Tata Tiago, Renault Kwid and the Maruti Celerio.
