Just like a Cadbury Dairy Milk and Maggi Noodles compromising the price, the size decreases. Maruti Suzuki too is adapting similar strategy earlier Alto 800, than Celerio (A-Star replacement) and now Alto K10 facelift keeps on reducing the size, compromising with the price.

Today it’s time for the covers to come-off the facelifted Alto K10, thanks to folks at Gaadiwadi.com for snapping the firstever spy pictures of the 2015 Alto K10 fully-uncovered. The design language is in fact very similar to the Alto 800 with large, swept-back headlamps, new grille, front bumper and rear section. On the other hands, it has enough changes for the customer to know that it is the Alto K10 and not the 800.

According to the website, the Alto K10 facelift will be offered in three variants – LXi, LXi+ and VXi. The LXi variant will have air-conditioning with a heater and power steering as standard. The LXi+ adds wheel caps, while the VXi gets wheel caps, body-coloured ORVMs and door handles, door protection mouldings, front power windows, rear parcel tray and central locking. The car continues to devoid alloy wheels, across all variants but gets blackened steel wheels does duty.
2015 Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 facelift – AMT/CNG Versions
Under the hood, the same 1.0-litre 3-cylinder K-series petrol engine is expected which churns out 68PS of power and 90Nm of torque, mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. A CNG option and Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) is likely to be available as well. This will make the Alto K10 AMT one of the cheapest automatic cars in India. However, the diesel version of the Alto K10 facelift is not likely as the car was not designed to host a diesel engine.
The launch of the Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 facelift hatchback will happen soon, as early as in January-2015. With so many new cars present at the Maruti Suzuki’s factory in Gurgaon, its confirmed that the production of the new 2015 Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 has already commenced.
