In order to boost the sales of the two decade old brand Splendor, Hero MotoCorp has timely updated its motorcycle with slightly re-designed body panels and two new colour options now on offer – Shield Gold and Black Red. The new 2015 Splendor Pro is now available at all Hero outlets across the country priced at Rs 46,850 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The new 2015 Splendor Pro gets a revised sporty windshield visor, clear lens indicators, a restyled fuel tank, new body graphics and a tri-set instrument cluster with side stand indicator. Other features include a chrome-plated utility box and muffler cover, body-coloured mirrors, sporty tail lamps, wider seat and broad grab rail.
There aren’t any changes to the greasy bits including the powertrain, suspension and brakes. It continues to employ trusted and reliable air-cooled 4 Stroke Single Cylinder APDV engine. The engine delivers 8. 2 Bhp and peak torque of 8.05 Nm through a 4-speed manual gearbox. The adjustable rear suspension and 18-inch wheels provide a smooth and comfortable ride, true to the bike’s character.
The Splendor brand was introduced in 1994 and the flagship variant was re-named as ‘Splendor Pro’ in 2010. The Splendor has also crossed yet another milestone by surpassing 25 million (2.5 crore) units mark in cumulative sales since its launch in 1994. Currently the Splendor family has a range of 5 variants – the Splendor PRO, Splendor+, Splendor iSmart, Splendor PRO Classic and Super Splendor.
