All-new V-Class top-end model named the Elite was introduced by Mercedes-Benz in India at a whopping price of Rs. 1.1 crore (ex-showroom, India).
The Elite V-Class is based on the revised V-Class that is available in international markets.. It gets a new grille, updated bumper and revamped headlamps with integrated daytime running LED lights.
The V-Class Elite comes in a long-wheelbase and 6-seat configuration in India. It gets new vents for air conditioning and a larger head-unit for infotainment touchscreen. It further gets captain seats in the second row with leg rests. The seats will recline up to 49 degrees and have features for ventilation and massage. Certain features include automatic 2-zone climate control, ambient lighting, folding centre table, Burmester audio system, 360-degree all-round camera and optional panoramic sunroof.
A 2.0-liter 4-cylinder diesel engine which produces 161 BHP @ 4,200 rpm and 380 Nm @ 1,400-2,400 rpm powers the V-Class Elite. This engine is mated to an 9-speed automatic transmission.
Safety features include 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, care assistance and active parking assistance which comes as standard.
