Mercedes-Benz last week launched three new flagship models in the Indian market – the G63 AMG Crazy Colour Edition, the S-Class S500 Coupe and the AMG S63 Coupe. All models will be, unsurprisingly, brought to the country via the CBU route.

The S500 Coupe is the 2-door Coupe version of the S500 4-door sedan already on-sale in the Indian market. The features will be similar to that of the standard S500, but the rear end is differently styled here and gets a more sloping profile. 2015 Mercedes S500 is priced at Rs 2 Crore (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
Under the hood, the S500 Coupe is powered by a 4.7-litre twin-turbo V8 developing 455 hp of power and 700 Nm of torque.
Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG:
The S63 AMG Coupe is the AMG version of S500 Coupe, spruced-up with added AMG influences like aggressive body kit with carbon fiber inserts even inside the cabin and an iconic AMG badge which sets it apart from the S500. The S63 AMG is priced at Rs 2.6 Crore (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
The major highlight of S63 AMG is under the hood, it comes powered by a 5.5-litre twin-turbo AMG V8 developing 585 hp and 900 Nm of torque mated to an AMG Speedshift MCT 7-speed gearbox with three drive modes. It is available as RWD and AWD (with a 4MATIC system) variants.
Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG ‘Crazy Colour’ Edition:
The company has also launched the G63 AMG in a 3 exclusive paint schemes – Solar Beam, Sunset Beam, and Alien Green, showcased under the ‘Crazy Color’ moniker. It also gets matte-black finish on the door handles, bumpers, ORVMs, wheel arches and roof while interiors will be done up in Designo Nappa leather. The mechanical components of the flagship SUV, still remain the same.
Slated to be a collector’s item and priced at Rs 2.17 Crores (ex-showroom, New Delhi), there will only be a limited number of this special edition allotted for India.
