At the 2012 Paris Motor Show, Mercedes-Benz has unveiled their new SLS AMG Coupe Electric Drive, B-Class Electric Drive and CLS Shooting Brake. The all new Mercedes Benz SLS AMG Coupe electric drive is considered to be the most expensive electric road car till date. This powerful vehicle shares a number of exterior styles with the petrol engined SLS AMG, first introduced to the Mercedes-Benz line-up back in 2009.

The SLS Electric Drive is represented as the world’s most powerful series production electric car, which will see the light of the day sometime in 2013. It consists of four synchronous electric motors placed one in each corner of the four-wheel drive, each electric motors weighs 45kg. These electric motors together generate 740 hp, about 177bhp more than the standard rear-wheel-drive SLS AMG’s 6.2-litre V8 petrol engine.

The cars pasted with AMG badge cannot be quiet, and to that end its engineers have developed a soundtrack that’s piped in through the 11-speaker sound system. The sound is dependent on the driving situation and operating state, in addition to load conditions and road and engine speed. There’s even a start-up sound!
