There was also a short teaser attached to it which gave us a glimpse of the LED lamps and badging of the Mercedes-Benz EQC 400. This has given us a hint that the vehicle is not far away from its India launch. Mercedes-Benz were eager to introduce the Mercedes-Benz EQC 400 here earlier this year to get a massive headstart as compared to its competition.

But the nationwide lockdown imposed during the time ensured that the automaker had to eventually postpone its launch. Now it seems that Mercedes-Benz is raring to go with the EQC 400 coming out soon. The car will be offered with a host of goodies such as a 10.3-inch display, automatic climate control, ambient lighting and so on.

On the powertrain front, the Mercedes-Benz EQC 400 will employ an electric battery of 80 KWh mated to two electric motors on each axle. This is said to make 405 BHP of power along with 750 Nm of torque. Mercedes-Benz claims that the car can reach the 0-100 kmph barrier in just 5.1 seconds.

It will be available in options of either a regular or a fast charging system. The Mercedes-Benz EQC 400 will come with a four-wheel drive system and is claimed to have a driving range of 400 km on a single charge. When launched, it will be locking horns with two upcoming products, namely the Porsche Taycan and the Audi e-Tron in the relatively new electric premium SUV segment.
