Daimler may not have answer for its dealers and customers on what it plans on doing with Maybach, but the automaker on 23rd this month celebrated the 125th anniversary of the brand with a special edition 57 S. Known as the Maybach Edition 125, the one-off model features even more exclusive and exquisite touches along with a wide-range of individualization options.
Highlights of the Maybach Edition 125 include new colors Tahiti Black/ Patagonia Silver, laser-engraved light motif in the front armrest, which, a glove compartment lid embroidered with the signature of Wilhelm Maybach, silver-colored topstitching, trim in silver carbon fibre/black piano lacquer, matt black 20-inch wheels with high-sheen spokes plus a newly styled radiator grille.
Power for the Maybach 57 S and the 62 S has been increased by 18 horses for a total of 630-hp. However, engineers were still able to reduce fuel consumption figures.
It was recently reported that Daimler may be teaming up with Aston Martin for a possible partnership on Maybach.
