Swift hatchback is the second best-seller in the country and Maruti Suzuki’s India line-up. Now the company has launched the limited edition of hatchback named as Maruti Swift Windsong Edition. This limited edition was showcased couple of months back in November-2014 at the ‘Windsong Music Festival’ Lonavala, Maharashtra.
Maruti Swift Windsong edition is aimed at music loving car fanatics.
The Swift Windsong Edition will be sold in VXi and VDi trims and comes with updates to its interiors and exteriors, with no changes to the engine options. The car retains its 1.2-litre K-Series petrol and 1.3-litre DDiS diesel powerplants. Both are mated to a 5-speed manual transmission sending power to front wheels.
The Swift Windsong edition is available in Arctic White colour only. On the exteriors, this limited edition gets racy dual stripes running from hood through roof, musical themed body graphics on sides (doors), and new design for wheel covers. Mud flaps and a roof-lip spoiler are standard too. Maruti has added parking sensors on the rear bumper.
The black-yellow theme is carried on the interior too.
On the inside, this limited edition features black seat upholstery with yellow stitching, black & yellow steering cover & gear lever, ambient interior lighting (front footwell) with blue LEDs, illuminated door sill guard, Swift branded cut floor mats and the best of all – Sony touchscreen music system that supports connectivity with Bluetooth, iPhone iPod, iPad, USB, SIRI Eyes free control for iPhone, CD/DVD/VCD, USB, AUX-in & external mic, 2 pairs of Sony Speakers followed by Vibe equalizer mode.
The price of the limited edition Swift Windsong VXi (petrol) is Rs. 5,14,973 whereas the price of the Swift Windsong VDi (diesel) is Rs. 6,10,246 (Ex-Showroom, Delhi). This limited edition has already started arriving at dealerships and reportedly only 100 units of the Maruti Swift Windsong Edition will be sold, so go book one quickly if you’ve liked it.
There are no mechanical changes to the Windsong edition, the changes are purely cosmetic.
The Maruti Swift Windsong limited edition comes just days after the launch of the Tata Bolt in a bid to steal the limelight from the new launch.
